Highlights
The 2024 Ram Dakota midsize pickup is making a comeback from 2011 to appeal to another generation of consumers. Right now we’re speculating on what it has in store for us in terms of engine options, interior luxuries and driver assist technology but we have a few solid ideas. An off-road Rebel trim might join the lineup with strong off-road capabilities like the Ram 1500. Let’s take a look at what we know so far.
Trims
We’re waiting to hear where the Rebel fits in the lineup and just how much it would cost. Until then, we can offer you an estimate on what the other trims will ask for.
- Tradesman: $26,000
- SLT: $30,000
- Laramie: $32,000
- Limited: $34,000
Power
Some possible engine options for the 2024 Ram Dakota include a 3.6-liter V-6 paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission with rear and all-wheel drive. Or, a 3-liter V-6 that generates 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft torque. We also expect to see the Rebel trim offer off-road tires, skid plates and a tuned suspension.
Interior
The 2024 Ram Dakota is anticipated to have a similar interior to the Ram 1500 with high quality materials throughout. We expect a handful of amenities both standard and optional like a heated steering wheel, wireless charging, heated/ventilated seats and more. Being a midsize pickup, we don’t expect the most spacious cabin but there will likely be an extended cab offered on top of the crew cab. Below are some of the driver assists we estimate will be offered.
Tech
- 8-inch touchscreen
- Apple carplay/Android auto
- Wifi hotspot
- Wireless charging
Safety
- Adaptive cruise control
- Automatic emergency braking with blind-spot monitoring
- Lane keep assist
Conclusion
We wish we had more information on the nostalgic 2024 Ram Dakota but don’t worry, as soon as we hear any news, you’ll be the first to know. Stay tuned.
