With so many Silverado trims out there, building the best truck for your needs can start to feel overwhelming. But we're here to help. In our guide to Silverado trims, we'll go over each model's highlights and the best reasons to buy each one.
Work Truck (WT)
In addition to its attractive starting price, the Silverado's entry-level trim supplies plenty of power. Under the hood, you'll find a 285-horsepower V6 engine that's ready to tackle heavy workloads. Complete smartphone integration, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, is also standard. With this technology, you can use smartphone apps via the WT's 7-inch touchscreen interface.
Custom
The Custom is new to the Silverado lineup, adding to the WT features with a little extra style (it's got 20-inch wheels), a little extra convenience (power and heated mirrors), and a little extra luxury (deep-tinted glass, cruise control).
Custom Trail Boss
New to the Silverado trim lineup, this off-road-ready pickup is your ticket to adventure. Every Custom Trail Boss comes standard with four-wheel drive to bolster your off-road rides. This truck also comes standard with the Z71 off-road suspension package to ease you through the wilderness.
LT
The Silverado LT balances efficiency with truck-style utility. It's got the line's thriftiest engine-a 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that earns up to 20 city/23 highway mpg. The LT doesn't short you on power, either, delivering 310 horses and 348 pound-feet of torque for your hauling needs. This truck also upgrades your tech experience. Its 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot literally takes the internet along for the ride. Thanks to the OnStar emergency telematics system, help is never far off. The LT also includes a bigger, 8-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system.
RST
This trim represents extra convenience, adding to the LT's lineup with work-friendly timesavers. For drivers who do a lot of hauling, items like the power-locking and power-release tailgate and in-bed lighting come in handy. Dual second-row USB ports leave no device uncharged. The remote start and rear window defrost features seem like small things, but you'll wonder how you lived without them.
LT Trail Boss
This brand new Silverado trim starts with the LT features and adds rugged performance gear (as the name suggests). Under the hood, the standard 5.3-liter V8 engine kicks up mud with its 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. Thanks to its standard Z71 suspension package, this truck feels extra capable on rugged terrain. The LT Trail Boss also comes with the trailering package, so you can bring your big toys into the wilderness in style.
LTZ
For a Silverado that's as luxurious as it is capable, check out the LTZ. This trim's premium leather upholstery and dual-zone automatic climate controls sets the standard for upscale comfort. The front seats are heated and power-adjustable, making it easy to adjust comfort levels. Where there's more comfort, there's also more convenience. The LTZ sets you up with two 120-volt power outlets to keep power tools ready for action. Navigation is there to point you in the right direction, too.
This truck is truly as capable as it is luxurious. The LTZ comes standard with the powerful 5.3-liter V8 engine. But choosing the LTZ also allows you to upgrade to the 6.2-liter V8. Generating 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, it's the line's strongest option. And, when you're towing heavy loads, the LTZ's trailer brake controller is there to help you maintain precision.
High Country
The Silverado High Country is a truck that's fit for a king. Outside, it winks at passersby with its 20-inch chrome wheels and chrome side step rails. Inside, it's equally impressive, with its heated-and-ventilated front seats and heated second-row seats. Like the LTZ, it's decked out in handsome leather upholstery. This truck also aims to save you time and keep you safe. The High Country also adds some high-end conveniences, including wireless phone charging and a power-up-and-down tailgate. Driver aids, like blind-spot monitoring and lane departure warning, make it easier to get around safely in this big truck.
