Towing Technology
We all know that the towing capacity is not the only factor when it comes to having confidence in your truck’s towing capabilities. Through the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System or using the myChevrolet Mobile App, you can keep track of some important customizable functions. Some of the available features include; pre departure checklists, exterior trailer lighting diagnostics, trailer maintenance reminders, and trailer tire pressure/temperature monitoring.
The all new HD blows all of its competitors out of the water with the available camera packages offering up to 15 unique vehicle and towing views to help provide a safer and more enjoyable towing experience.
The HD has four available hitch views, six available driving views and five available parking views. Use the Transparent Trailer View to look virtually “through” your box or camping trailer for easier towing visibility. Or switch on the Surround View to get a bird’s eye view of the surroundings of the vehicle. Check the contents of the bed with the Bed View, or use the Hitch View to help ease the stress of hooking up to the trailer. You could also connect an available accessory camera inside your trailer and access the Inside Trailer View to keep an eye on your valuable trailer contents/cargo. If you are not towing and just need some help parking in a tight spot, then switch to the Front Side View camera and allow it to show you the position of the front tires so you won’t have to guess where they are lining up any more. And if none of these options suit your needs, I am sure one of the additional nine available views will have you covered.
Convenience
On top of being a workhorse and having incredible towing capabilities, the new 2020 Silverado HD also has many other conveniences to consider. The new storage solutions that it offers, including the in-seatback storage compartments or the available large 24-liter under seat storage compartment, are sure to add some additional convenience when storing and packing around any miscellaneous items you may have with you on any occasion.
With its increased cabin space, up to six USB data ports, available wireless charging pad and available 4G LTE Wi-Fi® Hotspot capabilities, only be “unplugged” from life when you choose to be.
No matter what big or little job you have in store for your new Silverado HD, it is ready to take the bull by the horns and “git ‘r done”. Starting at a very manageable $34,100, this truck is sure to please even your bank account!
