What's small enough to fit in any parking spot but rugged enough to take on just about any terrain? Answer: the 2019 Jeep Renegade. This subcompact SUV is the smallest in Jeep's lineup, but not one to back down from a fight. The Renegade has a low price point to fit into most budgets, plus a great fuel economy to keep you rolling in the savings. Its off-roading chops are undeniable, especially for something this size. And though you can tell the Renegade is all Jeep, this model has a look all its own too.
Expert Off-Roading at an Unbeatable Price
The 2019 Jeep Renegade starts at just $22,000. Of course, the trim levels don't stop there, but even the top-tier Renegade High Altitude feels like a steal at $28,400. Every Renegade comes with nine-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive, and any can add optional four-wheel drive. Standard features include cloth upholstery, rearview camera, Uconnect infotainment system on a 5-inch display, six-speaker audio system, USB port, and Bluetooth.

Most buyers will be happiest with the Renegade Latitude, starting at $23,875. The Latitude trim has everything the base Sport has, plus high-demand features like dual-zone automatic climate control, the upgraded Uconnect system with 7-inch touch screen, satellite radio, additional USB port, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. If you're a sucker for off-roading, get at least the Trailhawk trim level for $27,545 for all the best off-roading features and options.
The Savings Keep Rolling In
Normally, sporty and rugged are code words for thirsty and gas guzzler. But not so with the 2019 Jeep Renegade. This subcompact does well, even in its class, getting 22 city miles and 30 highway miles with the base engine and a highway mileage better by 1 mpg with the upgraded 180-horsepower engine that's good for 175 pound-feet of torque.

Off-roading
We've already alluded to the off-roading capability of the 2019 Jeep Renegade but it bears repeating. Any Renegade can be outfitted with all-wheel drive and an advanced four-wheel-drive system with settings for Snow, Sand, Mud and, on the Trailhawk trim, Rock. This little Jeep has everything: water fording, great traction, maneuverability, and the ground clearance.
Styling
We just have to say something about the styling of the 2019 Jeep Renegade because the Renegade just got a facelift for the model year. Reshaped fascias and new optional LED headlights and taillights give the boxy Renegade a more angular look. Some call the Renegade cute or whimsical, and it is that, but we also see a bold mug and sportiness that belies its size.

Our favorite feature is the My Sky sunroof feature that consists of removable roof panels. Just pop them off, throw ‘em in the cargo area and you have your very own miniature open-air Wrangler. If that's not enough, the front panel slides back like a power sunroof. The Renegade also comes with an optional power glass panoramic sunroof.
